Howdy Y’all! Another irk day survived. YAY! Tonight is dindin over to the church house which is always good. Plus I don’t have to cook or scrounge for comestibles. OYKW reported that Ruth’s Chris was really good but waaaaaay pricey. He said, however, he felt like it was worth the money. **doggio** he had a martini and said it was really good. He described it as huge and he got a buzz from the martini. He’s even enjoyin’ the conference. He’s stayin’ at the Marriott so at least he’s in a nice place. **Spidey** you’re doin’ some co-ed at irk? :eek: I’m surprised such things are allowed! ---

We’re going to Kevin’s tonight so \*\*FCD \*\*can have fried chicken. I’ll get either crabcake or shrimp, I think. Doesn’t matter - no cooking or dishes! 😃 And we’ll make a couple of stops on the way home for wine (a late Christmas gift for my mom) and diet coke (it’s on sale this week.) One more work day, then I go to the wilds of Harford County for 3 nights… ---

There was a leak in a sprinkler head at irk. The sprinkler guys came to work on it today. The leak started running through the CO detector next to the leaky head and made the fire board go off intermittently. It was highly annoying. In less annoying news, Detailed AGM’s dad is responsive and awake now. I revised a nightmare scene from my work in progress for nefarious purposes today. I’m going to count that as the day’s noveling, partly because now I’m thinking about a completely different part of the story than I’m currently writing. Since this whole story came to me in disparate pieces I’m doing my damnedest to write the first draft in chronological order so I know what’s going on. Then I’ll read it over, say “This is crap” and rewrite it. It’s good to have a plan. ---

Five years later, I’ll still hear the occasional “This would be so much easier in RACF…” ---

I feel your suffering, **sunny**. The dry air at irk keeps making my cold feel worse whi4i’m there. When I get home, the humidified air loosens things up pretty quickly though. Do you have a vaporizer? I’m having the last of the veggie soup tonight. Looks like I’ll have to cook tomorrow evening. ---

There used to be a place in the Wyoming Valley (of PA) that had the best steaks ever called the Beef&Booze and that was basically all they had. The steaks were in a meat case and you basically pointed at the one you wanted and the nice man would pull it out and cook it to order. Want a small sirloin, point to that one. Want a huge-assed one and point to that. You basically paid by the pound. With it you got a baked potato and some Caesar Salad. They also had the most amazing assortment of whiskeys. It was a lovely place to be. Damn – now I’m all nostalgic. ☹ ---

I worked, I walked Gordie in the cold. Beer now. I jhate winter, my nose bleeds and my fingers crack and bleed. I want **Butters** ’ sucky weather. Oh well, tomorrow is my Firday. And Firday is my first day off in two weeks.
