It is a really good thing that–like everybody with a lost or stolen smartphone on TV and in movies–the owner didn’t use any type of security and all you have to do is turn the thing on to have access to everything. ---

It’s necessary for dramatic contrast. One side uses sheer strength and superpowers, the other cleverness, and 3. It kind of makes sense. Why would Homelander BE smart? He can solve any problem with force. He doesn’t need an education. He doesn’t need to use his wits at all. They’d atrophy. ---

If Vought hasn’t figured out how to give Compound V to adults yet, what were they secretly sneaking to the super terrorists? DId they start shipping that stuff out 20 years ago to eventually plan to get military contracts? It seems to me the first season suggested that Compound V already worked on adults and now this seasons is saying it’s still in development? ---

It didn’t RELIABLY give superpowers to adults. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they exploded. Sometimes they got a giant prehensile penis. ---

Maybe they are. The show doesn’t reveal everything. On the other hand, maybe they’re pretty sure it’s the Boys and don’t feel a need to look inside. Remember, the Boys were in that Compound V nursery in Season 1. Also, they could have gotten it through the drug-running network that Homelander and A-Train were running. There were plenty of opportunities. ---

Possibly to justify the expansion of the supers program. Stormfront knows that Starlight is the leaker, and Starlight threatened her with the knowledge that Stormfront was Liberty, something Vaught surely already knows. So why is she keeping quiet? We have only Starlight’s former teammate’s word (Gecko?) that it was difficult to get the sample. He could’ve been caught in the act and then the theft made part of their secret plan. Jesus God, this past year has made me the most paranoid I’ve ever been, seeing dastardly and secret deeds everywhere. ETA: I also found it amusing to see Starlight the tiny little thing next to the taller Butcher, then Starlight being a good head taller than Stormfront. ---

They must be messing with relative heights. Because then Stormfront would be like waist-high to Homelander? I went back and watched Stormfront’s mysterioso telephone conversation with Lamplighter in Episode 5. It seems pretty clear they were talking about the young man that she made him torch this week. They referred to him as “he” and as “17 years old.” He felt bad about having done something. So, I’m guessing he was the one who killed Susan Raynor. ---

If google is to be believed, Karl Urban is 6’ 1", Erin Moriarty is 5’ 6", and Aya Cash is 5’ 2". Antony Starr is 5’11", so their probably heightening him a bit, since Homelander obviously _should_ be taller than everyone else. That or he habitually hovers a few inches. Oh, and Petit Hughie is also 6’ 1", so they’re probably digging a hole for him when he stands next to Butcher. ---
