The tie ins of extended universe stuff are better than ever; “American Hero” is hilarious, the TV movie about The Deep was hilarious, and on and on. Honestly I think the show’s as good as ever, but if I could make one small criticism, the show does tend to really slow down badly whenever we’re with The Boys in wherever their hideout/HQ is. It’s almost as if they don’t know where to go and just reset by going back there. ---

What control does Vaught have over Homelander? Stan seems to dismissively boss him around sometimes, and Homelander just takes it. ---

He was raised by Vaught and knows nothing else. That is probably the main extant of it. They have a huge amount of dirt on him, but he has a huge amount of dirt on them. So that’s not it. He probably also knows that if anyone can harm him, it is Vaught. ---
