So, it wasn’t long ago that I was fondly remembering the Bricker Challenges that would show up fairly regularly. While I sucked at them, I did enjoy getting the few that I knew and learning some new things about those that I didn’t. The hamster in my head started cranking the wheel, so I started to think about the questions I might ask. I came up with a couple, that led to a couple more. I realized they all fit in the Cafe Society genre, so I decided to polish it off to a nice, round 20 questions. Some are possibly obscure, some are easy, most reflect things I have had an interest in at some point or another. Google or don’t Google, but if you do put an answer out there, I would like it if you listed whether that was knowledge off the top of your head or if you needed help. Frankly, I’m curious to see who else has an odd smattering of trivia stuck in their heads. On with the show.

1. “The US Army sadly states
That sometime yesterday,
\_\_\_ \_\_\_\_\_’s plane went down
North of \_\_\_\_ \_\_\_\_.”

2. How great would it be if Muddy, Boo, and Otis went on tour? It’s just a shame that Spike and Lefty have reached the end of the line.

3. You always hear that most injuries and deaths occur at home. I can think of one in the ‘40s that could have occurred 502 feet from home if someone hadn’t been paying attention. Who could have been arrested for this “crime”. Who would have faced charges for aiding and abetting this?

4. Mystery person #1 may be large, but he’s no dumb cookie. Mystery person #2 is smooth as a chocolate swirl. Mystery person #3 can’t dance but can throw the pill. Along with a few friends, what might they be doing?

5. Has there ever been a more disturbing moment than when Myra Fleener kissed this man?

6. Describe VORP. Use it in a sentence.

7. “I’m so excited, I’m so excited, I’m so, I’m so… scared!” What might cause someone to say this?

8. Count Chocula was the first of several monster themed cereal creations. There were technically 4 more. Name them.

9. I fondly remember when Saturday morning actually meant cartoons like “Garfield and Friends”. Who were the friends? (the generic name of the cartoon, if you can actually name all of them I bow down to you.)

10. According to Susan, who can hammer a six inch spike through a board with his penis?

11. Who was Jupiter Jones known as when he was a young child?

12. Who is the Hard-hearted harbinger of haggis?

13. Who said: “My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable and I’m just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat your children. Praise be to Allah.”

14. Name the first team from the ABA to win an NBA championship (and the year they won it.)

15. What is the preferred clothing choice of the wife of the owner of the establishment next to the Wisconse Inn?

16. Of the regulars at Moe’s Tavern, who has the most children?

17. You walk into a room and notice that Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson are all strapped to the floor. You also notice how nice each one of them smells. All of a sudden, 1,000 flies are released into the room. Which person are they most likely to land on, and why?

18. This is the first school to win both the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball championships in the same year.

19. Who was really responsible for the magic loogie?

20. Finally, a most fitting end to this is to harken back to my favorite final episode of a show ever. As Sam is heading to the back of the bar one last time, he stops to do one thing. What does he do, and why is it significant?

Apparantny taking too many caffinne pills. Maybe she just knew she was doomed to star in Showgirls?

Boo Berry, Frankenberry, and some kind of mummy…(using google, I find out the mummy is called yummy mummy…and the fifth was Fruit Brute.)

> 1. I fondly remember when Saturday morning actually meant cartoons like “Garfield and Friends”. Who were the friends? (the generic name of the cartoon, if you can actually name all of them I bow down to you.)

It was the cast of US Acres. There was Orson the pig, Lanolin and Bo the sheep, Wade the duck, Sheldon the unhatched egg…the other little chick, and a rooster (OK, so I got 5/7, not too bad.)

Well, that he knows about, Homer (3.) However, due to many sperm donations, Barney has dozens of children.

Damned if I know, but once they’re gone, I’m a very happy person. 😃

Damn, I jsut saw this ep, the other night, too. All I remember is that it’s not Keith Hernandez.

He turns off the lights. Why is it significant? I never watched the show, so I don’t know. Maybe he said he’d never do it? Or just cause it was the last time he’d ever do it?

1.

Mike Tyson. The “I want to eat your children” gives it away.

1.

Homer Simpson. He’s the only one with _any_ children.

1. (partial)

The first blanks are Henry Blake. I believe the second are a body of water but I can’t remember which one.

am I right?

All of the top of my head.

1. _M_A_S_H\*. Henry Blake, got nuttin’
2. Playing baseball
3. Gene Hackman’s coach character in _Hoosiers_
4. BooBerry, Frankenberry
5. Professor Jerry (_Real Genius_
6. The Axe Murderer wife
7. Apu’s not a regular, so I guess it’s Homer
8. UConn, 2004
9. It was a Yankee player, but not Keith Hernandez.
10. He adjusts a picture. It is Nic Colasanto’s picture, who played Caoch until his death.

Straightens the picture of Geronimo that was kept on the set in memory of Coach (Nicholas Colasanto). Top of my head.

Sadly, your other 19 made me whimper in fear.

1. Dr. Hathaway, from _Real Genius_. It’s only implied, though:

Chris: If there’s ever anything I can do for you, or, more to the point, _to_ you, you just let me know.

Susan: Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your penis?

Chris: Not right now.

Susan: A girl’s gotta have her standards.

Later, Chris surprises her obviously having just slept with Dr. Hathaway.
13. Mike Tyson, talking to (I think) Lennox Lewis.

And on preview, darn you both.

Yep, but the OP mangled the line badly. Here it is verbatim:

“I have a message. ‘Lt. Col. Henry Blake’s plane was shot down over the sea of Japan. It spun in. There were no survivors.’”

Off the top of my head, too.

I will lord my correctness of this response over all of you, as it’s the only one I could get.

I’m guessing #3 has to do with baseball. “Home” being home plate. So, a 502- foot home run? The batter would be charged with the crime and the pitcher charged for aiding and abetting.
