The Camp Fire Thread -or- Northern Cali Is Like SOOO Hot Right Now

I was volunteering with my company that had a presence in the area. It was largely uneventful as most of the heavy lifting was done so it turned out to be more moral support than anything else. I’m glad there wasn’t still a lot to do actually.

The radio station I listen to had a benefit concert last night for Camp Fire survivors, and raised $63,000.

I agree with Sheriff Honea: that’s remarkable.

My cousin must have some sort of miraculous insurance. Her house and out buildings on her property are all destroyed. Not only was her insurance putting her up in hotels and giving her spending money for the month that she was unable to visit her home, but now that she has been there and has found it destroyed, they have completely paid off her claim on the house (she still holds the ownership of the property), and she has already used that money to buy a new house.
