I just want to go on record to state that I made an amazing curried lamb and spinach meal tonight: complemented by naan bread, yoghurt and red wine. Restaurant quality if I do say so myself. God, I don’t want to go to work tomorrow! ---

I stayed inside today and will probably stay inside tomorrow too because it’ll be really cold (and I don’t need to go anywhere.) At least it wasn’t as cold on new year’s eve, when I went downtown to watch the fireworks. On the 4 and a half kilometre hike to the night bus, though, my legs felt like popsicles wrapped in icicles and put in the freezer. ---

Happy new year, all! As an aside - I was driving around Toronto the other day, just to look at what the ice storm wrought. The damage to the trees here is truly awful. ☹ Allegedly, the city lost a full 20% of its tree canopy to the storm. ---

I loved “Dr. Tongue’s 3-D House of Stewardesses”: “Hi, I’m Mandy, and this is Brandy, and this is Candy, and we’re flight attendants from Flight 306…” [Paraphrased.] And all while doing the “point out the exits” kind of indicating.
