The Blue Angels are grounded by the US government shutdown, so the [Snowbirds take their place](http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2013/10/05/canadian-snowbirds-take-the-skies-at-annual-california-capital-airshow/). I think it’s quite cool that the US gets a taste of how well our Royal Canadian Air Force flies in an aerobatic show. ---

I lived in Moose Jaw for awhile (home of the Snowbirds, of course), and it never got old, seeing them up in the sky doing their thing regularly. The results were pretty predictable, The NDP has not really accomplished anything except for raising the prices on pretty much everything and the Harper government doesn’t know we exist, so a Liberal majority was really no surprise. Apparently this was the first time in over 130+ years that the voters of Nova Scotia didn’t give a second term to a first term government. That must sting a bit. ---
