When I was in grade school here in Montreal, we had snow on September 30. June, July, and August are the only months where I’m not guaranteed to have any snow. ---

I can remember a couple of freak early snows from when I was younger in southern Ontario–one occurred in mid-September, but it was just flakes that melted as soon as they hit the ground. Such things were quite rare, though. But here, we had snow yesterday, and last week also. It will likely melt soon, but it’s only a matter of time before it stays for longer than a day or two. ---

Here at the top of Superior I’ve had snow in all the months, but it doesn’t last unless the ground is cold, e.g. Nov-May. ---
