I doubt anyone had him, but Ken Caminiti has passed away at the ripe old age of 41. Shows what steroids and cocaine can do for a person. ---

Oh, God, I just heard. I am so depressed. With the death of Christopher Reeve, while **Captain Lance Murdoch** is still in the lead with 95 points, the following three players jump up with an added 48 points: **Diogenes the Cynic** and **Mikie** are now tied for second place with 75 points each and **SpazCat** is in third place with 73 points. No one picked either Ken Caminiti or Jacques Derrida. ---

I pick 13 people from the game of baseball to kick the bucket this year and I completely omit Ken Caminiti and Ray Boone. This was clearly not my year. ---

Ray Boone was the senior member of the first baseball family to send three generations to the All-Star Game. Ray made it to the midsummer classic in 1954 and ‘56 as the Detroit Tigers’ third baseman. Son Bob followed his dad to “the show”, as did Ray’s grandsons Bret and Aaron.
