Lay, convicted six weeks ago of fraud and conspiracy charges which stemmed from Enron’s collapse, had been preparing an appeal while facing a potential prison sentence of 20 or more years. ---

Somebody please tell me I’m not the only one who believes he faked his death. This close after his conviction? Sorry, that’s too convenient for me. I won’t believe it until I at least see autopsy photos. Until then I’ll believe he’s hanging out with Nixon and Dr. Mengele in a remote bunker guarded by fascist Chinese mercenaries.
