Well, Fidel Castro, Tammy Messner, and Ariel Sharon are win, place, and show so far. Tied for fourth place are Billy Graham and Kirk Douglas. Mohammed Ali is in fifth, having moved up a little, and Elizabeth Taylor is right on his heels. Margaret Thatcher and Farrah Fawcett and seventh and eighth, Dick Clark is ninth, and nancy Reagan is 10th, with Lindsay Lohan and Lady Bird Johnson in a tie for 11th place. I probably won’t post my choices until Sunday morning, but I can see only one change I will make from the popular list, as it stands then. I want to have Fred Phelps on my list, just to derive a little satisfaction if he finally goes to meet his Master.(And I ain’t referring to God!) ---

A ruling please… Suppose I choose a dictator, like Saddam, BEFORE he is sentenced to death. Maybe even before he is charged with a crime. And then later, he is charged, sentenced and executed in short order. This could conceivably happen to any number of dictators, and has happened a number of times historically – Romania, Afghanistan, Tsarist Russia, Chile, are a few places that come to mind. Some kind of revolution/coup/“regime change” that is capped off by a show trial or summary judgement by the new regime, and quickie execution. It is my feeling that these should be worth some points, but of course I submit myself to the wisdom of the judges. ---
