I think it is bad form to pick a local radio host with cancer or the premier of East Bumfuqistan but thems the rules. Or lack of rules. ---

Continuing the Congressional theme: [Charles Vanik,](http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/31/AR2007083102088.html?sub=AR) who represented the Cleveland area from 1955 to 1981, died last week at the age of 94. The Democrat was best known for collaborating with Washington’s Senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson on the Jackson-Vanik amendment to the Trade Reform bill of 1974. The amendment tied USA-USSR trade policy to the Soviet Union’s willingness to allow its Jewish citizens to emigrate. Also, [Jennifer Dunn](http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/330364_dunn06.html?source=mypi) of Washington has died at 66. The Republican held a suburban Seattle-Tacoma area House of Representatives seat from 1993 to 2005, and was the first female to rise to the height of vice-chairing the House Republican Conference. ---

I had Pavrotti last year, I think. This is what happens when I revoke the Gift of Life. Though, he could pull through, and then I add him for 2008 and he lives another year until I give up and add him to the Stephen Hawking Hall of Those Who Will Never Die wall. **My question is is why aren’t my terrorist being bombed to death?** Is it too much to ask that they just die and give me points? ---
