> [@Shirley\_Ujest](#): > > Sidebar: How do you pronounce Eithe? _Eithne_ (the correct spelling) has several pronunciations, with [ETH-na](http://www.behindthename.com/name/eithne) apparently the most common (although [this site](http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Eithne) declares EE-na to be correct). While those sources both give the meaning as “kernel”, [**Wikipedia**](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eithne) claims that the definition is “little fire”. At any rate, “Edna” appears to be an English equivalent. ---

One notice here to \*\*amarone \*\*: Joaquin Cruz, the fraudulent bondsman, died a few months ago and I did not notice it until today. He was 65 years old. I should get 35 more points.
