RE: Jeff Goldblum, I glommed on to [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=522383) over in Cafe as my source. I’ve been websearching on Jeff, as well as others, and so far with only one source, the story appears to be a hoax. The guy can only play one character, but I still like him. Let the Grim Reaper lose one today, 'cuz he’s been busy enough. ---

None of the top four had either FF or MJ, but they do retain their positions. A whole lot of people are now off the mark. 45 people had MJ, 32 FF. 12 people had both of them. Nobody had Jeff Goldblum, but on preview I see we have hope that he is still alive. ---

Jeff Goldblum is DEFINITELY a hoax - [us.imdb.com](http://us.imdb.com) is indicating that the only motion picture he is working on is filming in Long Island - which would make sense logistically since that is (IIRC) about where Law and Order: CI films Plus, I just read the following info at the bottom of the story that was linked: “this story was dynamically generated using a generic ‘template’ and is not factual. Any reference to specific individuals has been 100% fabricated by web site visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank ‘non-specific’ template for the purpose of entertainment.” /smack ---

Join the club, **imthjckaz** (the goose egg club, that is). At first I thought I was going to score some points after having a dry run the past few years, but as I went back to check my list I realized this was the first year I had decided to drop Michael Jackson from my list :smack: . Perhaps if I kept him on there he’d still be alive ---
