ESPN2 has reported that Jack Kramer, tennis legend, is dead , no cite yet. Wiki has his death listed. Kramer was 88. ---

while searching for a cite for kramer death, I found that Nobel Laureate [Norman E. Borlaug](http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/americas/09/13/nobel.borlaug.wheat/index.html) at age 95. ---

TV writer producer [George Eckstein](http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-george-eckstein13-2009sep13,0,305987.story) passes at age 81. Eckstein wrote the final episode of _The Fugitive_, which held the record for many years for the most viewed TV episode with 72% of the viewing audience - a record not broken until 1980 and the “Who Shot J.R.?” episode of _Dallas_. He also was the producer of the Steven Spielberg-directed classic TV movie _Duel_, and is the father of actress [Hallie Todd](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallie_Todd). ---

on a sad note, [Cathy Crimmins](http://www.philly.com/philly/obituaries/20090913_Cathy_E __Crimmins__ author_who_could_sting__or_inspire.html), author of _Where is the Mango Princess_ died at a very young age… doubly sad is that I didn’t have her on my list… ---

I had Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Ted Kennedy and now Swayze. I think this is the best I’ve ever done. I don’t think I ever had more than one or two in this game. ---
