[Kathryn Grayson](http://www.theatermania.com/new-york/news/02-2010/kathryn-grayson-star-of-kiss-me-kate-and-show-boat_25092.html), who appeared in such classic movie musicals as _Kiss Me, Kate_ and _Show Boat_, has died at the age of 88. (Personal note: My sister Kathryn was named in Ms. Grayson’s honor.) [Jim Bibby](http://www.star-telegram.com/topstories/story/1975104.html), who pitched a no-hitter for the Texas Rangers in 1973 and made the 1980 All-Star Game roster as a Pittsburgh Pirate, passed away at 65. Bibby also helped Pittsburgh win the World Series in 1979. ---
