Blob, you realize that you missed the submission deadline?
If this is correct, the Guinean dictator could get ahead of Zelda:
Sorry, you can’t have him a) because it is so, so wrong, and b) because he is a Time Lord and is several hundred years old.
No.
It is the time of death that counts.
VunderBob is correct - midnight Central Time, Dec 31/Jan 1 is the deadline.
amarone, are you posting stats this year? most picked and what not?
Yup. I am just going through all the final entries (hence the barrage of posts above) and am correlating all the lists. We have 170 entries - 11 fewer than last year.
I will also post the 2009 results in the next day or so - I am waiting a short time in case of late death announcements.
Good! I like the stats. Thanks for all your work.
I set up a Google News Alert on Connie Newton Needham, as well as all other of my picks. So, tonight, I get my news feed, and the very first entry in the e-mail is my list of submitted names on Page 4.
I don’t know if I should be proud or shocked.
And every year I look forward to this, I miss the lovely deadline.
Anyone wanna start another Celeb Death Pool that goes from February to January 31st???
It turns out that there are several names on my list that were only mentioned on one list prior to mine. Please know I wasn’t copying - this is my first time playing, and I posted my list at the last minute without reading the thread.
Also, I just figured out that Taylor Lautner doesn’t turn 18 until February 11 (yikes!) - I hope he holds on until then.
By Golly, I copied.
This Conaway guy is indeed a trainwreck waiting to happen.
I didn’t read a rule about copying. I think your good one way or the other. I’m sure no one pays attention to my list, but I wait to post until the last minut for that very reason.
Anyway, Amarone, I realize one of the names on my list might be ambiguous. The William Perry I am referring to is “The Fridge” of 1986 Bears football fame. I didn’t want to clarify that in my post since I know you like to cut and paste names. If the former Secretary of Defense dies, I’m SOL.
Thanks for the clarification.
Oops, sorry about missing the date! It’s all good, just putting it out there for the record then.
Maybe you picked the wrong basketball team.
If the Washington NBA franchise hadn’t already changed its name from Bullets, this incident might have provided the impetus to do so…
