The Celebrity Death Pool 2010

Hay. That’s the last straw! I think we’ve crossed the morbid rubicon here.

woo hoo!

He died in the fodder of all traffic accidents.

Did ELO ever cover “Timothy?”

Did anyone put cast members of Jersey Shore on their 2010 list?

I would bet this list is a mirage. It appears to be a good bet, but it vanishes on inspection.

That, and I’m already working on 3 lists for next year.

He was fodder fodder.

Whoa! What happened?

Another rogue bale of hay?

Rich Cronin LFO guy, dead at 35 from cancer. No hay was seen.

That really sucks about Schimmel, and I feel so bad for his daughter. :frowning:

David Dortort, creator of ‘Bonanza’, dies at 93.

Kevin McCarthy, actor, has died. Worth 4 points.

A unique pick for Argent Towers. And, unusually, nobody has yet updated Wikipedia to mark the celebrity’s demise.

Are you sure? To me it looks like his death information was added about 8 hours ago.

For me it is showing the last update as being Sep 1, even after a refresh.

eta: I cranked up the much-maligned Internet Explorer and it shows a recent Wikipedia page with the actor’s death noted. I am currently using Chrome, after having tried Firefox for a couple of months, and for me neither has been as reliable as IE.

Try a Ctrl-F5 refresh. It’s like an “I’m serious” refresh, it tells the browser to go and get a new copy of the page instead of just reloading the page.

He was 96? Wow. Funnily enough I was just reading the thread about Weird Al and thinking about McCarthy’s performance in UHF. He would have been, what, 74 when he made that? I wouldn’t have guessed.

It’s pulling the right page now anyway. What puzzles me is why it would show an old version of a page I had never visited before - it certainly could not be cached on my machine.

Harold Gould, character actor know for The Sting, Rhoda and one of Rose’s boyfriends on Golden Girls dead at 86.

He was 10 years younger than Kevin McCarthy???

I thought he was 86 when I saw him on Rhoda ~25 years ago!

Just found out about this, and it saddens me. I met him a few times back in the late '80s. His on-stage persona was rude and abrasive, but he was a really nice guy.
:(, indeed.
