[Stetson Kennedy](http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-stetson-kennedy-20110828,0,1045235.story), who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan and exposed many of its rituals and other secrets, has died at the age of 94. Some of Kennedy’s research was used in the _Superman_ radio series in the 1940’s. In 1952, he made a bid for the governorship of Florida, and Woody Guthrie wrote a song promoting Kennedy’s ultimately unsuccessful campaign. ---

I feel especially bad about pointless deaths. I suggest, for the purposes of this game, that we stipulate there is a God Of Death, otherwise known as GOD, who gets all the points for reported celebrity deaths that aren’t claimed by members. It wouldn’t exactly be fair to compete against GOD, so GOD cannot win the Pool. But still, wouldn’t it feel good to have a chance to outscore GOD? ---
