“Hey hey, goodbye” to musician and songwriter [Paul Leka](http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-paul-leka-20111026,0,7625180.story), dead at the age of 68. Originally written as a throwaway song, and deemed so “embarrassing” by Leka that it was released by “Steam” rather than under the performers’ names, _Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye_ went to No. 1 in 1969 before becoming immortalized as a sports taunt standard in arenas and stadia around the world. ---
