[Greg Goossen](http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-greg-goossen-20110228,0,5098121.column), a 1960’s “bonus baby” who played several seasons as a Major League Baseball catcher but never lived up to his early hype, has died at the age of 65. After he retired from the diamond, Goossen served as Gene Hackman’s stand-in during filming of more than a dozen movies, and occasionally had bit parts on screen. ---
