[Walter Breuning](http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/afterword/2011/04/walter-breuning-worlds-oldest-man-and-second-oldest-person-dies-at-114.html), who had been the worldā€™s oldest living man, has died at the age of 114. He was second in total current human longevity only to Besse Cooper, a Georgia woman 26 days his senior. ---

Most of Arthurā€™s notability came from being Grouchoā€™s son but, as the obit states, he also was a screenwriter for some B-movies (like in the _Blondie_ series and a couple of Bob Hope pictures) and wrote a novel based on his experiences ā€œas a top-ranked junior tennis player in the 1930s and early 1940s.ā€ His obit is far longer than it would have been had he been Arthur Marks, but he would have gotten a mention. ---
