No cite yet. Still trying to figure out why no news coverage. But [singer Andrew Gold’s](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Gold) Facebook page is claiming he died yesterday at age 59. Don’t count it until it’s cited. ---

[John Henry Johnson](http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-passings-20110605,0,3433215.story), a star running back for several professional football teams, has died at the age of 81. Johnson, who was selected to the Pro Bowl four times, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987. ---

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Death Pool: Ever since I started on this macabre little game, I have put Lilian Jackson Braun on my list. You might know her as the author of “The Cat Who…” mystery series. She was not much in the news, being rather elderly, but today my sister sent me an article about her. She was supposed to be there signing autographs, and my mom and I were thrilled. We grabbed the latest Cat Who hardback and ran down to Concord.
