I just heard a report on Norwegian TV that Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, is dead. I’ve no cites yet. ---

NBC just did confirm it, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, first man to walk on moon, dies at age 82 > **[U.S. News: Latest Breaking Stories, Video, and Photos on American Politics,...](https://www.nbcnews.com/us-news?lite)** > > Get the latest news headlines and top stories from NBCNews.com. Find videos and news articles on the latest stories in the US. Someone at NBC had sloppy fingers, they did indeed report it as: “Astronaut Neil **Young** , first man to walk on moon, dies at age 82”, I saved the screenshot tough. ---

I was going to upload my screen cap of astronaut “Neil Young” dead at [NBC.com](http://NBC.com), but Gawker got the posted mistake up already: > **[NBC News Reports on Death of Astronaut Neil Young](https://www.gawker.com/5937870/nbc-news-reports-on-death-of-astronaut-neil-young)** > > NBC News may have been the first to report on the death of astronaut Neil Armstrong — but that was only after they mislabeled him as "Neil Young." And yes, folk rocker Neil Young is still alive and well. ---
