[Deborah Raffin](http://www.arcamax.com/currentnews/newsheadlines/s-1237252), who made a name for herself in acting and later became involved in publishing audio books, has died at the age of 59. Raffin’s screen credits include the made-for-TV movie _Nightmare in Badham County_, which helped make her a star in China. Dove Books-on-Tape, which she and her then-husband Michael Viner started as a hobby, produced recordings of volumes as varied as Sidney Sheldon’s novel _Naked Face_ and Stephen Hawking’s cosmological opus _A Brief History of Time_. ---
