I saw the name and the reference to boxing, but didn’t pick up on who he was until you mentioned the hat and posted the picture. He was always on ESPN classic talking about classic fights. ---

A quote from a former manager, from the BBC story linked above: “Jocky transcended the whole spectrum of life in the UK. It’s a very sad day because Jocky was loved by so many people for the great character he was.” That sentiment was confirmed to me by a U.K. friend, in a recent e-mail message to me: “They don’t make 'em like that anymore, he always looked and probably was seriously pissed when he played, always entertaining…RIP” ---
