Okay, Wikipedia says it’s caused by bad food, unclean water or possibly not washing your hands before you eat. I have a hard time believing any of these is an issue for QEII. So is this a snow job? Like entertainers being hospitalized for “exhaustion” or Soviet leaders catching a cold? Are they fibbing about her real condition? ---

Gastroenteritis is just the fancy medical term for what everyone else calls a “stomach bug”. Very common, regardless of any of the risk factors you mentioned. If you have an elderly patient who’s dehydrated due to vomiting and diarrhea, it’s pretty reasonable to admit them to the hospital for supportive care, mainly IV fluids. I wouldn’t count your points just yet. ---

But you have to admit that’s one of the better puns heard on this board. Two languages even!😃 But I’d really like for her to live until September 2015 and become the longest reigning British monarch. After all, her mother made it to one hundred and one. A side question, has there ever been a British monarch with a living father? If QEII died before Phillip and Charles becomes king, would that be a first? ---
