LAS VEGAS — [Barbara Vucanovich](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/10/barbara-vucanovich-dead-dies_n_3416871.html), who was the first woman to represent Nevada in Congress and went on to serve the sprawling, rural 2nd Congressional District for 14 years, died Monday after a brief illness, family members said. I had a golf themed list but IIRC, he was not on my list for next year. 44 years ago he almost won the US Open which is being played this weekend. ---

Also, **guylevesque** gets 16 points for Pierre Mauroy. I could have sworn I’d checked that name but missed it. This vaults **guylevesque** from next to last, at 120th place, to 98th place! ---

One death that went unnoticed was that of Robert G. Bennett, owner of [Tony Packo’s](http://www.toledoblade.com/Retail/2013/05/09/Robert-G-Bennett-1937-2013-Restaurant-exec-bought-Packo-s-chain.html) Cafe, made world famous by Max Klinger of M_A_S\*H. He died May 12 ---
