> [@Sternvogel](#): > > [Gary David Goldberg](http://www.randomhouse.com/wotd/index.pperl?date=20001207), who produced the TV series _Family Ties_ and _Spin City_, has died at the age of 68. Besides those Michael J. Fox vehicles, Goldberg’s contributions include the underappreciated _Brooklyn Bridge_, which lasted only two seasons. Sit Ubu sit. Good dog. ---

[Frank Stranahan](http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/9422790/frank-stranahan-premier-amateur-era-dies-90), a career amateur golfer (and a very good one), passed away this past weekend. He was 90 and known as the Jack Lalanne of golf. Another dead golfer who was not on my golfer themed list. Pooh! ---
