Mama Walton (currently 74 yrs old) is only 12 years older than John-Boy (63 years old). It is a little surprising that Daddy is still alive (85 yrs old) because IIRC, he has fought alcoholism for a long time. The rest of the kids are 49-57 years old so it not surprising that they are still alive The Moonshining Sisters are dead and Ike’s wife is still living at age 80. People that wandered onto Waltons Mountain would be a good themed list for 2014. Wilford Brimley, Sissy Spacek, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ron Howard, Merle Haggard, Todd Bridges, Michael O’Keefe were some people who wandered onto that Mountain that could go on the list beside the regulars. ---

I remember when Ralph Waite played in _Roots_. This was when _The Waltons_ was still on the air and it was shocking to see Pa Walton whipping slaves. ---
