When in doubt, Canada blames Winnipeg. Campbell intercepts for the Riders! ---

My son expresses his dismay that English-language television viewers don’t know the beauty that is [Mike, Chez Rona.](https://youtu.be/RVGgUqVYZI0) He feels bad for you all. I spent about 2 days total in Winnipeg. It’s ok, I guess, at least in June. ---

Now, _that’s_ a good commercial. Clever, too, putting “Mike, Chez Rona” to the tune of “My Sharona.” All we get from Rona in English are kids playing hockey in the house, breaking through drywall, busting the washing machine, painting the basement floor, and otherwise making a mess, all set to Nazareth’s “Love Hurts.” That’s another that’s played so often that I automatically mute it. I’ll take “Mike, Chez Rona” any day. ---

He’s a minor celebrity at this point. There’s a Habs/McDonald’s/Rona crossover commercial about poutine, there’s one with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the guy is often at Habs games (in character), Rona advertised Mike costumes for Halloween. Solid Montreal touchdown, anything can happen in the CFL! ---

Als offence seems to be getting going. Lot of speculation from the talking heads about Davis’s leg. Sounds like the stadium is mainly cheering for the Riders. Now that was an interesting play: Davis in trouble, passes, it hits an Al on the helmet, pops up, another Al catches, but ineligible receiver. Field goal for Als. ---

Yes, I was going to say that the Alouettes’ offense seems to be revitalized after their recent TD. Not surprised if there are a lot of Riders fans in Winnipeg tonight. As I recall, it’s only about a six-hour drive from Regina to Winnipeg. It’s a lot more difficult than that to get to Winnipeg from Montreal. ---

There are games, and then there are _games_. This was one of the latter.
