I was going to suggest 'Billy, Don’t Be A Hero", but it pales in comparison with some already mentioned. What IS noteworthy is that my Google suggestions at the bottom of my search? Yeah, the first one was ‘Seasons In The Sun’. I wonder how THAT happened? :dubious:😛 ---

Two songs come to mind as the cheesiest, and it’s not so much the songs but when I saw them and how they were performed. Late 70s TV in both cases. These two shaped my concept of what cheese is all about and warped my young mind forever. On one episode of the _Bionic Woman_, she had to display her talents as a singer. I don’t recall Lindsay Wagner singing other than this one time. The swelling muzak strings, the way she looks like she’s going to cry, and the chorus of “Oh feelings, woe woe oh fe- ee- yeel-lings” all make it very, very special. Also I forgot how good looking she was. [- YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLTE3iOkrfs) William Shatner’s performance of “Rocket Man” from an old science fiction awards show combines Shatner’s typical over the top performance, a song that makes no sense, and some goofy camera work (SWITCHER SOLO!) to create a cheese pizza where the crust is Velveeta and they used Cheez Whiz for sauce. It’s as messy as it sounds. For a clip that needs no introduction, the guy who put it on YouTube decided to leave in Karen Black introducing Bernie Taupin introducing William Shatner, who finally shows up at 0:54. I had no idea that Iggy Pop provided the spoken section of this, but[Daw Da Hiya](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ric1sEdPIks), by Ofra Haza, has got to figure in high on this list: “In a time and place Where a woman can’t show her face Her life is ruled by men That shouldn’t happen again” is one of the better “lyrics” on this one. Pity that when he’s not talking, it’s quite nice. ---

My Google-fu has failed me: What’s the sappy C.W. McCall-style trucker song about the little kid with the CB radio… wait… it just hit me (like a Jimmy in White)!! “Teddy Bear” by Red Sovine. That song is so maudlin and cheesy you can spread it on crackers as a Brie-substitute. Remembering it has made me slightly nauseous. Forgive me for even bringing it up. ---

Some of these suggestions are so awful (e.g., Butterfly Kisses, Afternoon Delight), they don’t even rise to the level of cheesiness.
