A&E’s _Intervention_ is a documentary series that handles some of these kinds of things. Perhaps you’d prefer that show? Sometimes we want to be entertained by fiction. Why does the fiction have to be like reality? Straight-up reality does not always make good drama. Bad writing is bad writing, it doesn’t matter if it is realistic or not. I haven’t seen _The Cleaner_ because I thought it looked stupid, and having read your description it appears to be even stupider than I thought. I share your objection to dumbing things down, but where do you come up with the idea that all people need to do is put real-life stuff on TV “with hotter people?” There is reality television out there. There’s fiction. Where’s the demand for reality re-cast with more attractive actors? What demand is there for it? ---
