# The Closer - Season Premiere 07/11/11

I refuse to believe people on this board don’t watch this show. Kyra Sedgwick really is great and the ensemble cast is one of the best on television. Solid writing and great performances on a regular basis. I’ve never understood the hate Asst. Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson inspires in people.

Anyway, did anyone else watch tonight’s season premiere? A solid episode. Classic Brenda the Bitch ends up doing what she wants without any clue about all the politics going on around her. But she still closes the case. I also loved her interactions with Mary McDonnell.

And the final scene? Crap. I didn’t see that coming. I guess Courtney B. Vance didn’t sign a long term contract. Too bad. I thought his character brought some interesting tension to the show.

Just when I thought Chief Pope was out, it now looks like he’s back in charge! Yay!

Also, Fritz announcing “…and I’m naked.” 🙂

I’m not sure how it’ll go but I think in the end you are probably right. They will likely jerk us around for a few episodes in that regard.

I didn’t need to hear that much about Gabriel’s friends not being gangbangers. They’re innocent little lambs, we get it.
