Google Image Searched the names in that list I didn’t know: pretty sure he’s [David Hallberg](https://www.google.com/search?q=David+Hallberg&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8), 6’1" ballet dancer. Tall-ish, I suppose 🙂 I imagine Katie’s pretty short.

I’m not ashamed that I cried last night when I watched it. I’m also not ashamed that I cried AGAIN when I got The Fella to watch it today, and he said “I didn’t cry, b/c I was too busy laughing.”

Then I sent him the links to these articles:

I will miss him! I loved some of the faces he pulled, and when he couldn’t keep from laughing. And his ridiculous interviews. The host of @midnight said Stephen was one of the nicest guys he’s ever met, so it’s good to see a nice guy have success! I still watch TDS but it’s gotten a little whiny so I was refreshed by Colbert’s nonsense.

I think it says something about him that he’s able to get Willie Nelson, Henry Kissinger, and Cookie Monster all on stage singing together (to name just a few). Lots of shows can get lots of celebrities to appear on them, but the breadth and depth of talent on display - from science to the arts to journalism to politics to the military - was astounding.

1447 episodes \* 22 minutes = 530 hours. Not bad.

There’s no reason to be down in the dumps. His new show will be just as good.

R-Right?

Correct. I cheated and used this [slide show](http://www.vulture.com/2014/12/complete-list-of-who-was-on-the-colbert-finale.html#photo=5x00024), an annotated listing of every person who sang in the finale.

Seriously, with all the bad blood that’s built up between those three over the years, its a miracle they could put it all aside to get on the same stage.

The entire time since Colbert has been confirmed as the new host for “The Late Show”, he’s been playfully coy about it on his show. I figured this wasn’t _only_ because he wanted to be playfully coy about it, but also that Comedy Central didn’t want him using their broadcast to promote a show on a competing network.

Still, I figured he would (and would be allowed to) mention it on the final show- kinda, yeah don’t keep promoting a competing network over and over for 6 months, but on your final show you can say something because it’ll be a major “elephant in the room” situation.

I was surprised there was no mention. Before the Alex Trebek reveal, I expected Santa and Lincoln’s hidden companion to turn out to be Letterman.

P.S. I was getting kind of jealous of the guy Katie Couric was cougaring all over.

I think Cookie Monster forgave Kissinger after he was instrumental in re-establishing diplomatic relations with the planet Koozebane.

And Willie was just cool with it.

He made a point about being immortal now, and that we’ll meet again. I think we’ll see the character pretty regularly on the new show. 😉

Well, it was covered up until _now_.

Besides, that still doesn’t explain how Willie Nelson was able to get over Cookie Monster eating all his \*special \*cookies. Colbert is indeed a master of reconciliation.

The song was great, but then it sank. Norm MacDonald as Unicorn Lincoln?

The mythos goes this way:

1. Kill Death.
2. Become Immortal.
3. Get locked up in prison for life.

The obvious choice for who should arrest him and throw him in jail is Det. John Munch.

This would also explain the complete disappearance of Stephen Colber(t). He’s gone away for a very, very long time.

The crime: He kidnapped, imprisoned and impersonated Stephen ColberT.
