If this had happened a year from now, after DH graduates and lands that nice electrician job, we might be able to afford to just get another car, but we can’t yet, so we’re stuck nursing this one along for a while yet. ---

Ugh - few things more annoying than a vehicle nickle-and-diming (and dollaring) you to death. We had a van with way too many miles that we had to nurse along for a while, and every repair was met with a discussion of whether it was worth fixing/could we hope for it to last 6 more months… One thing we decided for sure - a dead transmission would have been the kiss of death. We managed to sell it before it died. Now we’ve got 2 relatively new vehicles, altho the 2012 is the one with 50K miles, and we’ve had it barely 2 years. We are fortunate to have a great garage - they do good work for a fair price and they don’t screw us over. We were comfortable taking our van to them and saying “Look it over and tell us what it needs.” More often than not, the answer was “Needs nothing” or “You might want to replace this filter.” I should take them some cookies some day. ---

Tried to go skiing today, busiest they’ve ever been we were told by en employee; even the overflow lots were filled. Came home & tried a movie instead. 1st one sold out while we were in line. Got tix for one an hour later & walked around the maul for a while. Came back, got popcorn & went in but the only seats left were in the very front row. Went to cust service & got money back for movie & food & came home. Bust of a day. ☹ ---

I had to unravel the Great Circular T-Shirt Rug due to the ripple effect in the outer ridges.Now I have to redo it. I should probably turn the unravelled stuff into a center-pull ball so I won’t have to chase it all over the floor. We shall not speak of the crumbs of t-shirt dust that I swept out of the carpet today. Oy. It was actually nice enough for a walk today! I actually took my jacket off a few times! _faints_ If this nice weather keeps up, I might be able to wash my window sometime this week. ---

Howdy all. Got hubby safely to CA. Made a pineapple upside down cake, thanks Mom. Now having a bottle of Valentine’s Day wine and watching curling. I have the day off irk tomorrow due to President’s Day. This is the last Federal holiday until Memorial Day in May :rolleyes: I have some spring cleaning I need to do and closets that need going through so I guess I will try to do some of that tomorrow or not. Boobiooo, will be thinking of you during the divorce tomorrow. 🙂 ---

I like the idea of live streamin’ video of the gall bladder divorce. 😃 I went and met OYKW for a \ Quickie \. Quickie is a local restaurant and, as the name conveys, serves only the finest of haute cuisine. I had a pretty good hamburger steak with mushroom gravy. I have tomorrow off as well **Butters**. I did all my chores so I don’t have anything I have to get done tomorrow. YAY! So, who’s startin’ us off tomorrow? Next person to post? ---

**BBBobbio** ummm… lose a gallbladder! Seriously, thoughts and prayers will be with ya tomorrow. I always decide what I’m goin’ to wear to irk the night before and have it all laid out. This comes from childhood when mom (the mom of five kids) always had us do that so she could shove us out the door ASAP each mornin’.
