We’re up to 3" in the high country. No ice predicted. I have my “No Ice” signs up as an added precaution. Snow I can handle. Man, it’s really coming down out there. Tomorrow morning will be interesting. I’ve been told I \*need \*to be at irk or the whole place will shut down. :rolleyes: Yeah, whatever. Y’all just don’t want to have to come in at 7, just admit it. ---

Pizza has been ingested - tummy is happy. 😃 Incidentally, \*\*FCD \*\*and I don’t do Valentine’s day - never have. Altho one year, we happened to buy my car on Feb 14, so he told his coworkers he got me a car for Valentine’s! 😃 But generally, we just ignore it. I don’t even buy leftover chocolate. Bite me, Cupid! 😛 No snow yet - we might not get any, dammit. I want tomorrow off! ---

Dindin has been et and “appreciation” shown. 😃 OYKW is takin’ a bath in the whirlpool bath tub or Jacuzzi tub, whatever ya want to call it. It’s rainy and cold. Da cave is all snug and warm. Plus I shall have a furry human blanket as well. Life is good. ---

As in, I look outside come morning and say “nope, not going anywhere.” The Weather Magicians tell me that it will only be about 4 inches by the time I’m supposed to go to work, but there will be another 5-8 before I get home. My solution to that is to not leave the house in the first place. It’s basically going to snow until Friday morning. This is why the gods invented hot chocolate. And Kahlua. ---

Just looked out the window and everything is white. Sah-son and I have enough food for 3-4 days so we are good to go, or not go. Piddlepup owner had called me but I’ll call him back later. It’s a good thing i called the insurance company today to cancel, I thought it would automatically cancel when I didn’t pay the bill. I have to sign some papers saying I want to cancel. While I like being snowed in I don’t like that the HFH will probably be here all day as well. I swear she is tetched in the head. I have to finish paper work and phone calls tomorrow. I think the guy I talked to at med assist didn’t know what he was talking about. That probably won’t work, most people will stay home tomorrow ---

The tree guy my neighbor hired pulled up the stump, but left it in my yard. I have $500 from the insurance company for the part of the tree in my yard. Neighbor has no insurance, and is facing roof repair as well as removing the tree. I was going to give him the $500, but now I must spend some of it to have the stump hauled away. Bummer. ---

The ground is white and it’s raining at the moment. I’m not sure how much snow fell overnight, but the coating on the ground is thick and heavy. We’re on a 3-hour work delay, but I’m not going in. Today will be a cleaning and crafting day. Part of cleaning will include running the carpet cleaner in this room for the multiple pee spots on the rug, including the one just added this morning. I stood outside with Higgs and she disappeared as she usually does and came running back as she usually does, but I’m guessing since she couldn’t find and uncovered leaves, she held it. Stoopit dog. Hoping the rain will melt off most of the snow, but I’ll go out later and shovel if I need to. Meanwhile, \*\*FCD \*\*is sleeping in and I get some quiet computer time. Yay! 😃 It’s not like I could sleep in - I’m used to being awake at this time - heck, I’m usually arriving at the office about now - so I’ll do my best to maintain my circadian rhythm. And that’s the way it is on a cold, sloppy Thursday in Southern Merrylande! Happy Thursday, all! 😃 ---

I may be going a bit AWOL the next few days, as I’m busy with my theatre group (playing in the orchestra for a production of The Mikado.) Last night was the dress rehearsal. It had its moments. Like when something went wrong and a main character accidentally spent part of the second act with no pants on! I had to try to concentrate on the music and try hard not to laugh. Shows for the next few days. Good times. 😃 ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, purtified for irk, so no yawns this mornin’. 'Tis 34 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 56 and sunny. I’ll take it. OYKW is finishin’ up his purtification ritual as I post. We are goin’ to get brekkies at The Cookie Shop. No we are not havin’ cookies for brekkie. This place also serves a very good brekkie and N.O.L. OYKW wants to get cookies to take to irk for staff as a thank you for all the hard work with the audit they had this week. I may take some to my irkplace just cause, well, I’m at The Cookie Shop and, hey, cookies! **Drae** I say I might be easy, but I’m not cheap. 😃 Ok, I hear OYKW, so I guess he’s ready. Time to go eat! Late blurf again. No one nicked the car park last night, and no elephants were seen. It was probably the rain, we never get elephants down there when it’s raining. I shall be ignoring va\*entines day as much as possible too, I’m single anyway, plus it’s only 2 days before my birthday, so even when I do have an SO it tends to be ignored, and I’m workin’ anyway, at what will probably turn out to be a fancy pants romantic dinner party, or possibly a weddin’. Bah humbug indeed. Anyway, to my surprise, and in complete contrast to the forecast, there appears to be a big visible glowy ball in the sky and a market absence of falling wetness, so I shall now attempt to go out and do stuff.
