Mr. Wizard was arrested for practicing wizardry, a crime worthy of certain damnation in most parts. Before submitting to authorities, he summoned several golems, erected a terrifying wall of fire, and caused the sky to rain kidney stones. Once the chaos was brought under control, he was tried according to his crimes against God and then set ablaze. His body did not melt, though; instead it dissolved into soot and poisoned all the witnesses with cancer. I’m pretty sure it was from the Something Awful Update today. I was email some of it to a friend. ---

We all know I prefer the settee, but I have to use my bed despite my dislike of it, so here is my specifications Big thick duvets are a definate no no. I want something thin and dense, something I can grab hold of and wrap tightly. One (thin and dense again) pillow, folded. (and then folded again at the edge so that my head does not feel like rolling off the edge of the pillow. Sleeping face up is surprisingly comfortable, for about a minute, then I get the overwhelming urge to turn back onto my side. Why is that?? I can’t fathom it. I _loathe_ my particular bed because, to save space, it is a top-only bunk-bed. My computer , chair, and desk are underneath. It has metal ‘fences’ round it so I can’t dangle my legs out of the bed (which I used to love to do), it is a major chore to get in and out, so I wait until I REALLY need to piss before I act on that impulse. It also means that going to bed is a big final decision, rather than just ‘fall’ into it I have to climb up, and then across, and then realize that it’s too hot, so I have to climb out, then down, and open the window, then I have to climb up, and then in, and once I get relaxed my bladder tells me I need a piss. So perhaps my bed-feeling are slightly influenced by my life-experience. (I would still prefer the settee over a ‘normal’ bed though. The good thing about the settee, which I have just now realized - is that you don’t have to take your clothes off to lie on it. ---

5 years @ 3 meals/day ~= 1825. 30/1825 ~= 1.6% …so in the past six years approximately 98.4% of my meals have been vegetarian. In other words only 1.6% of my meals were the flesh of dead animals. The rest mostly grains, legumes and vegetables. How about you?? * * * Ah…me, quoting part of a thread somewhere around here. ---
