I’m asking this in ATMB, as it seems to fit best here, but I can see it as GQ or possibly even MPSIMS. Move it as you see fit, guys. As I understand it, Creative Loafing Media owns six alternative weekly newspapers, with varying online presences. I think I know five of them: 1. Creative Loafing, Atlanta – the “original” CL publication, formerly owned by the current CLM president’s mother 2. Creative Loafing, Tampa – flagship paper of CLM, the one that bought up the others 3. Independent Weekly, Raleigh/Durham – bought by CLM, and a merger between the former Durham-based Independent Weekly and the Raleigh-based Spectator, which was folded into the Indy as a section and ceased independent publication 4. Washington City Paper – bought at the same time as the Reader 5. Chicago Reader – Cecil’s print home since 1973, the paper we all know and love So, the following questions: A. If there are six, as I’m given to understand, what’s the sixth paper? B. If there are actually more than six, how many and what are they? C. If the Chicago-centric forums are a success both in terms of visitor popularity and financially, what are the plans to expand the concept to the other CLM markets? D. What will you be looking for in terms of volunteer staff for the Chicgo and other potential forums? How may one get involved? ---

That’s certainly _my_ goal, but it depends on whether the publishers of the other papers want to participate. If SDC is a big success, I’m sure they’ll be favorably inclined. > [@](#): > > D. Cool. 🆒 Charlotte would make a great forum. It’d be worth it for the fried chicken and biscuit recipes alone. ---
