Anyway, this is all fine and dandy, but we do have a game to play, right? I don’t know what Peeker is after, but I suspect that if a bandwagon starts on him, it would gain the mass it needs. Putting that aside, Do you think it would be worthwhile to speculate at what night powers scum have in this game? Do we know for certain that it is a relative vanilla afair? ---

For the record, **Meeko** , I guessed pretty much immediately what that cipher was. And you’re right; it’s far, far older than the SDMB. I don’t see how it helps anyone here, though, nor what it has to do with microdots (nor, for that matter, why **peeker** was talking about microdots in the first place). ---

Yes, **Meeko** , we do have a game to play (above blankness can be read by mousing over it). As yet we have no evidence that scum have any powers other than infecting someone with the seed of sin (Sinners) and nightkilling (Blackhearts). Until something happens that we can’t more plausibly explain without postulating extra scum powers, I doubt it would be highly productive to speculate about what such powers might be. ---

That’s actually an excellent point! You are learning stuff! But as I recall, **ped** said somewhere up there that the two scum groups have to designate a specific person every night to sinfect or kill. So **paul’s** power could have been designed to catch just those two people, without having to postulate extra scum powers. Since **Angel** (and both **pauls** ) is now confirmed Town, I think we can assume that she/he was probably telling the truth that the Chinese was imposed by ped as a side effect of **paul I** cleansing \*\*Angel \*\*of Sin. ---

I was wondering about that too: If Scum never does anything, then an observation power (as **paul** claimed to have) is of no use to Town. Somewhere along the way there, I asked **pede** if there were some designated member of each Scum faction that does the dirty deed, and he said “yes”, so at the very least, **paul** might have seen the Blackheart killer or the Sinner infector on the way to the scene of the crime. **paul** never did tell us what he would learn from a successful use of that power, though, whether he would just find out that the observed person had taken an action, or if he would learn what the action was, and/or if it had a target. Depending on that, it could still wind up being an anti-Town power: He might learn, for instance, that “ **Qadgop** targeted **sachertorte** with an action”, and not realize that **Qadgop** was the Doctor. ---

This is the issue, there is no other issue currently: Is peeker with us, or against us? As he says he is playing this game as a favor, why, exactly is he saying that? What is the reason that we do not vote Peeker? At the same time, is there an outstanding reason that we can not vote Peeker? I don’t want to trust something that is so knee-jerk, as “OMGUS Peeker” Anyone else in the same boat here? * * * Peeker : Are you not enjoying this? I would think on some level you are. Based on that, cut out the part you don’t like doing, and you wouldn’t be on the fence here. ---
