# The cu\*t word

I’m an Aussie, where the cu-t word is par for the course. The same is true, I’m assured, for our British posters.
Here it is not gender affiliated. Whilst a woman might be called a c-nt on occasion, it’s more often reserved for men who are complete and utter cu-ts.
Is it OK to use this descriptor if one hails from a land where calling someone a cu-nt is just normal, or am I banned from calling people like Tromp one of those because I am not from the US?
Oh, by the way, your best friend here in Aus can be an utter cu-t too! 😛

You are posting on a US based forum where the vast majority of users would find it to be offensive. Know your audience is key in this situation.
Don’t be a jerk applies here. The fact that you don’t spell out the word shows that you are aware it is offensive.
Myself I don’t have a problem with that word, or any word.

Yes, I do know it’s offensive to US folks, but as it’s a word in common usage in Australia and the UK, I was querying whether there are some instances when it can be used with impunity. Hence my post. Simple.

Just because a board is US based it can also be international in nature and from what I’ve seen here the colloquial use of an asexual cunt would hardly raise an eyebrow.

Yes, the entire POINT is to be offensive. And it does not harken back to the days when cunt was reserved for wimmins. It’s taken on a whole new character nowadays. Men can be the the cuntiest cunts of all cuntdom. 🙂

Do you want to be instantly despised by pretty much every woman who sees it and a lot of the men? Because that’s a way to do it. Whatever it may be elsewhere it’s a “fighting word” here in the US.

I’m a woman. Sixty-five years old, have encountered many a cunt in my lifetime, and I refuse to stop using the word because of some naif sensibilities of some US messageboard. Unless a mod tells me not to of course 😛
