For #4 there are so many examples I couldn’t begin to decide which answer would be most popular. So I picked one of my favorite examples.

For #6 I know Frank is dead, and there’s some debate as to whether Brian is a author or a hack.

For #7 I just wanted to say that Michener was one of my favorites. And gracious to fans too, I have two short notes he wrote to me in reply to some questions I asked him about his writing.

I can’t believe I put “Red Rabbit” and spaced on “The Hunt for Red October” by the same freakin’ author!

I spent the first hour of my bicycle commute home trying to come up with a decent answer for #4- all I could come up with were: James & the Giant Peach and A Clockwork Orange. Finally The Grapes of Wrath popped into my mind.
