Well, I guess I learn something every feud. I’ve been to perhaps two backyard BBQs in my entire life, and there were no games played at either.

Horseshoes? Really? That reminds me of those books I used to read when I was in 4-6th grade about kids in the 1940s and 50s, what with their air rifles, marbles, slingshots, and whatnot.

Geez! Am I really the only one whose mind went immediately to the “Take out his spare ribs for $100!” commercial?

I don’t know how to play chess! Much less the “code” used for the moves. I almost pulled the question.

Somebody asked about “kings’s pawn” versus any pawn… I haven’t decided yet.

I guess I’m gonna have to find a layout of a chess board with the numbers on them.

Any help on this question is gratefully accepted.

I saw teenagers playing horseshoes just a couple of weeks ago.

They’re essentially the same answer, only one is specific and one could theoretically refer to any of 8 pawns. I’m inclined to give people who just said “move pawn 2 spaces” the benefit of the doubt, since moving the king’s pawn is pretty much the universal “beginner” opening.

At least no one yet has answered “move the little horsie.”
