I love that movie and it was my first thought as well. But I was having an internal debate with myself over whether subway cars counted as a “train” so I went with Strangers on a Train instead.

#6 - my great great uncle worked for PRR, and one of my brothers has his set of PRR keys.
#9 - not sure if tank is a viable answer, but it’s all I could think of!
#10 - that’s the generic for the police dept. & for many taxi cos. I think.

Ahhh! How did I not think of Murder on the Orient Express?
And question #10 was a real toughie. I ended up pulling one out of my past, because I know there are a lot of city-dwellers and nice-weather-dwellers on the board and I can’t figure out how they’d answer. Around here, a “generic car” would either be a Ford truck or a Subaru wagon.

-
Name the make and model of a popular commercial airliner.
Boeing 747 is the first that comes to mind; there are a lot of others. -
Name a famous aircraft pilot.
Chuck Yaeger far and away; others: Wright Bros, Howard Hughes but Yaeger from the The Right Stuff would seem to be the definitive answer -
Name a current European-based airline.
Picking Air France since the country’s name is in the title -
Name a film (theatrical or for TV) where trains are a major plot element.
Again a bunch; but since PT & A is the title of the thread I will go with that. -
Name a country, other than the USA, where passenger trains are a popular mode of transportation.
Hmm- didn’t realize train travel was popular in US -
Name a North American railroad of the past or present.
There are a bunch of old RRs active or defunct: Union Pacific, Penn Central, Illinois Central, Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe—but gotta go with the Amtrak -
Name an automobile maker known mainly for fast, expensive sports cars.
Coin flip between Lamborghini & Ferrari -
Name a famous automobile race.
Indy 500 is the granddaddy of them all
