I’m picking on you 'cuz I think you’re new. Per the formatting rules, your #1 and #2 answers have “extraneous BS” - I just want you to name the song. If you feel you need to tell me who the song is by, it should follow the list in the format followed by Sparky812 in post #9.
Next week (possibly, it’s under a vote right now) your complete list of answers will be disqualified if the formatting rules are not followed.
(FYI to all of you - #6 is ok because nobody is going to say it the same anyway. I know, I’m so consistent, huh? What I mean to say is, if I think it’s fair to allow it, it’s fair.)

#7 - Thank you, whoever mentioned this number in a CS thread last week!
I’m not aware of “the Roadie Song” but Sparky might be thinking of “Stay” (Lyrics mention the ‘Roadies’) which matches my result. Unfortunately he didn’t format his answer in the form of a period and a space. Hey I am just looking for a match because I might be destined for last place because Wormy is not playing.

I think he means The Load Out/Stay by Jackson Browne, which I put as my answer. (Actually, I just put “The Load Out.”) Stay is like the second part of that song. But the roadies are mentioned in the Load Out part of the song as well.
ETA: Actually, yeah, now that I remember, “Stay” is just part of the song “Stay” by the Zodiacs and pretty much just goes “Oh won’t you stay, just a little bit longer.”

Amazing how hard it is to come up with a specific example for such a clichéd category. Even though the song is about a “normal” working guy who has “trains to catch and bills to pay”, I think Harry Chapin might have had his frequent touring-enforced separations from his kids in mind as he wrote the lyrics.

Can’t edit my post again, BUT…
You’re right, the “Stay” song mentions the roadies. But they’re also mentioned in “The Load Out.” They do say, “The roadies won’t mind, etc.” which is a paraphrase of the original song (“now your daddy won’t mind…” etc.)
