My impression on seeing it: mediocre.

Wonder how much money Tom Hanks got for doing it?

I agree. But maybe we’re too old for it. It really felt like a kids’ show, and might have worked well as one if it hadn’t run in SNL’s normal time slot.

I was just talking about this the other night, but in the context of how good an actor Hanks is. That skit, as written, was terrible. Only an actor of his caliber could make it seem like genius material. But some things are best left alone, and I think this is probably one of them.
