The Atlantic is the one magazine I subscribe to — it’s excellent (though I liked it better when it was less political).
I just received my October issue today. How does this compare with others and newsstands? (I’m curious what delay there is getting my copy here in a reclaimed Asian jungle. )
I’m in Korea. I can get US print editions a week or two late if I go to a large nearby city. There’s a bit of a mark-up, so I usually get digital editions through Zinio.
Which is why I got into collecting older papers from EBay through my nephew-- much older than now, as a matter of fact. One of the best of those is, as I pointed out in another thread (“Stuff worse than it used to be,” I believe is the name), that 1987 Baltimore Sun from the 150th anniversary of that Baltimore paper (Sunday, May 17, 1987). Why? Simple-- 300+ pages of news, sports, weather, entertainment, classifieds (employment and otherwise), the national Parade mag, the local Sun Mag, a TV guide; you name it, it had it. If this board allowed for pictures, I’d show you what it looked like.
