Oh, hells yeah. I was just saying that non-jazz fans probably are only familiar with Mr. Crash and Bash or Gene Krupa. I brought up Bellson (and also Morello) as an example of drum soloists who have some finesse in their solos. Not that the others don’t, but you don’t see a lot of extended solos from them. There are some good drummers out there today, as well. I’ve seen Jeff Hamilton play several times, either by himself or in various group combinations. Dude’s got some moves.
