There’s this old movie called _Get Crazy_, starring Daniel Stern, of all people, as a manager of a rock club which is closing. It’s basically your, Hey Kids, Let’s Put On A Show type of thing, but with punk rock and drugs. It features a running gag where Lou Reed is supposed to show up, but his limo gets lost – he does end up performing at the club, to an empty room as he got there too late … but I’m rambling. In this film, there is a fantastic secondary character who is basically a six-foot joint, with arms and legs, reminiscent of the talking joint in the old Doonesbury comics. Damn, I hadn’t thought of that movie in years. Must explore Netflix. ---

I was like, “Dude, that’s right where we are, dude.” I turned around looking for the wolf to bust into the theater. ---

_History of the World, Part I_ features our heroes befuddling the pursuing Roman soldiers with a really big joint. _Young Guns_ or possibly _Young Guns II_ had a scene involving drug use…I think it was peyote, as part of a “vision quest” thing. ---

_Saving Grace_ was a movie about a widow horticulturalist who in a desperate attempt to keep her house, turns to growing weed. It has the added bonus of having Craig Ferguson in it. ---
