I can’t see any reason to bump other than for conservatives to gloat or liberals to feel embarrassed. If the posters in this thread were wrong then they were wrong with almost everybody, including me. ---

Well, the post explaining how important it would be for the Senate majority to crack down on the filibuster right quick strikes me as having a separate relevance. ---

I’m not going to be embarrassed or ashamed that I gave the American people more credit than they deserve. I will cop to being too optimistic, too willing to see the good in people, not contemptuous enough of my fellow citizens’ intelligence and judgment. But that’s not something I feel embarrassed about.
